Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (JEEI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works and free from plagiarism.


Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software prior to the peer review process. The similarity check is conducted to ensure the originality of the manuscript and the proper citation of all referenced works.


Acceptable Similarity Index

The acceptable similarity index for manuscripts submitted to JEEI is as follows:

  • Overall similarity index:20%

  • Single source similarity:5%

Manuscripts exceeding these thresholds will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the severity of the similarity.


Types of Plagiarism

JEEI considers the following practices as plagiarism or unethical publication:

  • Direct plagiarism without proper citation

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication

  • Data fabrication or falsification

  • Improper paraphrasing


Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal will take appropriate actions, which may include:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript

  • Request for revision and clarification

  • Retraction of the published article

  • Notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions


Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts and must ensure that all submitted work complies with the journal’s plagiarism policy. Proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources are mandatory.
