Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism Screening Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (JEEI) are subject to a plagiarism screening process to ensure originality and academic integrity prior to publication.

Plagiarism checking is conducted at the initial screening stage, before the manuscript is forwarded to the peer review process.

Plagiarism Detection Tool

JEEI uses reputable plagiarism detection software to screen submitted manuscripts, such as:

  • Turnitin

  • iThenticate

  • or equivalent plagiarism detection tools

Similarity Threshold

Manuscripts submitted to JEEI must comply with the following similarity limits:

  • Overall similarity index:20%

  • Single-source similarity:5%

Manuscripts exceeding these limits will not proceed to the peer review stage.

Plagiarism Check Outcomes

Based on the plagiarism screening results, one of the following actions will be taken:

  • Proceed to peer review, if similarity is within acceptable limits

  • Returned to authors for revision, if minor similarity issues are detected

  • Rejected, if plagiarism or excessive similarity is identified

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cited. Submission of a manuscript implies that the authors agree to comply with the plagiarism standards applied by JEEI.
