Open Access Policy

Scholarly Interdisciplinary Media for Academic Knowledge (SIMAK) is committed to providing immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Our open access policy is based on the following principles:

  1. Immediate Accessibility

    • All articles published in SIMAK are made immediately available worldwide without any restrictions or subscription fees. This ensures that the latest research findings are accessible to researchers, practitioners, students, and the general public.
  2. Licensing

    • SIMAK publishes its articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to copy, distribute, and adapt the work, provided that the original author and source are properly credited.
  3. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

    • SIMAK does not charge any fees for article submission, processing, or publication. We believe that financial barriers should not hinder the dissemination of valuable research.
  4. Digital Archiving

    • To ensure long-term accessibility and preservation, SIMAK utilizes digital archiving services such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). This guarantees that our content remains available even in the event of technical issues or discontinuation.
  5. Copyright and Author Rights

    • Authors retain copyright of their work and grant SIMAK the right of first publication. Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their websites) prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges and greater citation of published work.
  6. Fair Use and Distribution

    • Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

By adopting this open access policy, SIMAK aims to facilitate the widest possible dissemination of research findings and to support the advancement of knowledge across disciplines. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly excellence while promoting accessibility and inclusivity in academic publishing.
